Dr. Rong Hui

Rong Hui, female, born in 1985. She is an associate researcher at the Northwest Institute of Eco-Environment and Resources, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), mainly engaged in research on the eco-physiology of biological soil crusts (BSC) in deserts and sandy areas under the background of global climate change. She has led projects supported by the National Key Research and Development Program, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the “Western Young Scholars” program of the CAS. As the first author, she has published nearly 20 academic publications in Journals such as Geoderma, Plant and Soil, Environmental Sciences and Pollution Research, and so on. As the second author, she has published one monograph entitle “Eco-physiology of Biological Soil Crusts in Desert Regions of China”. She has been honored with the “Zhu Liyuehua Outstanding Ph.D. Student Award” from the CAS, the title of “Outstanding Graduate” from the CAS, the “Longyuan Young Talent” award from Gansu Province, and the first prize for scientific and technological progress in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.
