Prof. Majid Amani beni

Majid Amanibeni is an associate professor at the Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU), Chengdu, China. He has been actively involved in interdisciplinary research in the fields of urban climate, landscape architecture, and the urban environment over the past decade. In 2020, he was recognized as a "Distinguished Foreign Scholar" by the International Association for Landscape Ecology - North America region (IALE-NA) for his contributions to urban microclimate studies and received the “FSA Award.” In 2022, he was also recognized as a 'Foreign High-End Talent (Category A)' by the Sichuan Provincial Bureau of Foreign Experts." He has successfully led multiple research grants, notably from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), and the Sichuan Province Key R&D Program. His research findings have been published in reputable and high-impact journals such as “Urban Forestry and Urban Greening,” “Landscape Research,” and “Sustainable Cities and Society” ((included in the 'Chinese Academy of Sciences 1st zone, Top Journals' list). Majid also received the CAS-TWAS scholarship, jointly funded by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and The World Academy of Sciences. He possesses extensive editorial experience, including chairing urban climate sessions at international conferences. Additionally, he has served as a guest editor and a renowned reviewer for international peer-reviewed journals. He is a member of the Sichuan Provincial World Heritage Committee.
